Fee balances tracked in an exercise book. Report cards typed up manually every term from a teacher's marksheet. Attendance taken on paper and never actually reviewed unless there's a problem. Parents who only find out about a fee balance when their child is sent home. A teacher who has to recalculate class rankings by hand.

None of these are dramatic failures — they're just slow, and they compound. A school management system doesn't remove the judgment calls administrators and teachers make; it removes the repetitive manual work around those calls, so the time goes back into actually teaching and managing the school.

A site survey isn't just someone walking around with a camera. It's checking sightlines from proposed camera positions, identifying where cabling can realistically run, checking available power, and figuring out where a DVR/NVR can sit securely. It's also the point where coverage gaps get caught — before installation, not after.

The output of a proper survey is a camera count and placement plan matched to what you actually need covered — entrances, tills, perimeter — rather than a generic package. That's also usually where cost estimates become accurate rather than rough.

"M-Pesa integration" covers a range of things — from simply reconciling manually-entered M-Pesa payments against invoices, to a system that receives and confirms payments automatically via API without anyone touching a phone. Which one you need depends on transaction volume and how much manual reconciliation is currently costing you in staff time.

For a small shop doing a handful of M-Pesa transactions a day, manual entry against a POS record might be entirely sufficient. For a hospital or school billing hundreds of guardians or patients, automatic confirmation removes a genuinely large chunk of admin work — and reduces the errors that come with manual matching.
